21 Day Fix Extreme Week 1 Review

Happy Sunday Funday Everyone!

I am so psyched to write this review. I have successfully made it through 6.5 days of the 21 Day Fix Extreme so far and I feel AMAZING. First off, let me be completely honest, even when I did other programs (PiYo, TurboFire, etc.) I never followed a plan completely. I usually took 2 rest days whenever I felt like it, and I never followed an eating plan to a T. With the 21 DFX I’ve been completely on point! I’ve been following the eating plan, and I’ve followed the workout calendar for this first week. I feel great, I have more energy then before.

Here are a few things that I love the most, so far about this program:

  • The variety of foods that I can eat, I’m never hungry, and there are great substitutes that I can eat whenever I get a craving.
  • The workouts are very challenging, but do-able. I got this program knowing that I would have to work my way up to being able to do the workouts, but there are plenty of ways to modify (I do pushups on my knees for the most part) I love that each set is 30 seconds to 1 minute long, so when I am feeling super tired and ready to quit I see the countdown and can easily push myself to finish the full set.
  • I love the motivation that I get from having both an eating plan and a fitness program: because I focus and plan my eating and work so hard on that, I use that to push myself through the workouts, and the other way around,  I push so hard in the workouts and that way I don’t even think about cheating on the nutrition.

Now for the results… drum roll please..

I have way more energy, I am less bloated, I am feeling way stronger, and I even had some friends comment that I’m looking leaner (YAYYYY). I have lost 4 pounds this first week!!!!!
